«Silver Bells» - Organic Akebia Seeds (Akebia quinata)

Is it an exceptionally small cucumber or the world’s cutest watermelon? That is the vexing question. Melothria scabra, known as Cucamelon or Mouse melon is a tiny melon that has been creating a buzz in the farmer’s markets.

The Feijoa or Pineapple Guava is a container plant with green, egg-shaped fruits that taste sweet-sour and smell like pineapples. They can be eaten fresh or, for example, be mixed in salads or pies.

Much grown in the tropics for its delicious fruits. In this country it is grown for interest and as a foliage plant as it has large, handsome leaves. The leaves can be used for wrapping round pieces of tough meat with the object of tenderising them.

This is one of the distinctive tropical plants with fruits of a unique shape; it is a medium-sized tree with a rather dense green or dark green crown and beautiful decorative leaves, quite similar to acacia leaves.
